Over 286 Gasaka Sector Residents Benefit SFH Family Planning Campaign

In November, SFH staged a massive Mobile Video Unit at Gasaka Sector, Nyamagabe District and a total of 286 residents (whom SFH consider as its “Clients”) within the area were sensitized on various Family Planning (FP) methods.

For the use of pills or injection branded as “Confiance”, forty clients were reached out to. For the IUD method only two clients took it up, a total of 11 clients signed up on the new Jadelle method. Jadelle is an implant system that provides effective, long-acting (for 5-years) reversible contraception for women. A total of 180 subscribed to the “Depo Provera” method.

In addition, residents of the sector were thrilled with FP videos and skits. “MVU on family planning and mobile FP, the target has been achieved”, reports Team leader Southern Region, Fidele BYIRINGIRO.
