Nutrition is a key component in every child’s development and is an indicator of success for Rwanda’s development. SFH conducts Behavior Change Communication (BCC) across the country to increase awareness, knowledge and promote appropriate nutritional practices. At national level, SFH supports programs and initiatives aimed at fighting malnutrition and stunting, for example, the Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs, and the 1000 days campaign. Through social mobilization, SFH works closely with community leaders, Community Health Workers, Faith Based Organizations and Community Based Organisations to disseminate correct messages to different audiences. Our strategies and approaches bring together community members to ensure they understand the importance of good nutrition and the implications of a lack of good nutrition. Main communication and sensitization channels include;
- Radio
- Community Outreach
- Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs
- Community Based Organisations
