DoD highlights
Since 2015, US Department of Defense (DoD) is supporting the Rwandese Ministry of Defense (MoD) to implement HIV Testing Services (HTS) including peer education outreach activities, mobile HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC) and care & treatment in all military brigades and hotspots surrounding military bases. Under the direct supervision of SFH/Rwanda, in partnership with the MoD/Medical Regiment, the necessary skills and resources in HIV prevention among Rwanda Defense Forces (RDF) members and key populations located in hotspots surrounding military bases are provided following national and international HTS guidelines to ensure high quality of services.
